Betty A. Grissom

Biography

Betty Grissom's art career started about 25 years ago when she discovered she had a talent for drawing.  She studied with various teachers, including two years with Hal Reed, studying all facets of art.  She also studied or completed workshops with contemporary artists Jerry Yarnell, Robert Burridge, Linda Gunn, Judith Hearst Baer, Frank Minuto and Nancy Collins.

She began doing commissioned portraits of people and pets in the 80's and regularly taught classes in oil painting.  As her paintings often expressed her Christian faith, she began publishing her work for the Christian Bookstore market.

Betty put her art career on hold for 13 years while she worked as a Certified Financial Planner.  She is now devoting all her time to her art and exhibits and sells her work regularly.
